The ground rules for using this site, and what it's for, what it isn't, and what we ask of you.
Please also review these terms with a parent of legal guardian.
The Investment Club's site is an educational project run by students, for students. Nothing on it which includes the Portfolio Simulator, Research tools, Founder Portfolio, or any market data acts as financial advice, and nobody involved with the club is a licensed financial advisor. All portfolio activity uses virtual money only; no real funds are ever involved. Full details are in the disclaimer shown when you first visit the site.
The site is open to anyone, and you don't need to be a member of the club or attend our school to browse it, take the quiz, or try the simulator. Managing the meeting schedule is restricted to club organizers.
The name you enter in the Portfolio Simulator, along with your simulated portfolio value and return, is shown publicly on the Leaderboard. Prizes (such as the gift card awarded every two months) are provided at the discretion of club organizers and depend on available donations, and have the ability to change, delay, or discontinue them at any time. Donations made through the linked form are voluntary and go toward that prize, not to the club or any individual.
Please don't:
We can remove Leaderboard entries or restrict access for anyone who doesn't follow these guidelines.
Stock prices and financial data come from third-party providers (Finnhub, Polygon.io, and Twelve Data) and may be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally wrong. Don't rely on this site as your only source before making any real financial decision which, again, this site is not designed to help with.
The Tools & Resources page links to outside websites (screeners, calculators, articles, and books) that we don't control and aren't responsible for. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
This site is provided "as is," built and maintained by Neal in his spare time. We don't guarantee it will always be available, accurate, or error-free.
The Investment Club, its members, and our school are not responsible for any decisions, financial or otherwise, made based on information from this site.
We may update these terms as the site changes. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Reach out to a club officer in person or via email: Theinvestmentclub52@gmail.com or our faculty advisor, Mr. Vogel, with any questions.
