I started this club to help individuals in my age range learn how to invest. Investing in high school is one of the most crucial things a teenager can do, we have a huge time horizon to allow for long-term growth. I enjoy helping others learn what they can do to set themselves up to be financially free. I hope the majority of members are able to start investing and letting money work for them. I have been investing for 2 years.
I am the vice president of the Investment Club at HHS. I have been interested in different aspects of finance, such as budgeting, saving, investing, and evaluating, for much of my life. I opened a youth account with Fidelity Investments last year to start trading in the stock market because I wanted to gain experience with investing. I believe that understanding money management and your personal finances is a powerful tool that helps you live the life you want to live in the future. As a meeting leader for our club, my goal is to help members understand financial concepts while keeping the meeting enjoyable and engaging through stock market simulations, relevant discussions, and interactive activities. Whether you are a beginner curious about finance or an investor following the markets, I want to build a welcoming environment where everyone can learn and gain confidence.
Mr. Vogel has been the primary teacher/ advisor who has helped me run this program. Mr. Vogel does a good amount of investing by himself and has provided a wide range of insight that comes from experience. He teaches math which is the most important subjects when it comes to investing. The entire investing world relies on math.
